You get a timetable of events when you arrive, including Ferret racing and feeding the wallabies. Make sure you take £1 coins for the Go-Kart too. You can take a picnic, though they have a café and an indoor area where you can eat, complete with bouncy castle. An excellent day out!

Good morning out with the grandchildren. If it's a nice day, I would suggest that you take a picnic. We went on a cold day and intended eating in the cafe but the queue was too long so we left the park early in search of hot food elsewhere. Lovely staff and if you follow the activities schedule given, there is plenty to keep the little ones occupied for a few hours. Would go again.

We had a great day there. Our four grandchildren, ages 3yrs to 10 years, loved it. They enjoyed feeding the animals, and cuddling the floppy eared rabbits. It was a chilly day, so when we'd finished our picnic outside they warmed up on the bouncy castle in the marquee.

Some of the staff are quite rude, especialy at the ferret racing. I am also concerned about the conditions the animals are kept in. The small barn is dirty and looks like it is about to fall down. Also, I bought a jar of honey in the little shop. It had Matlock Farm Park labelling on it, so I thought it was local honey, good for my hay fever. When I got it home I saw, in small writing, that the honey was produced in China. Cheers!

Had a fantastic day even though it rained a bit . It was a lot better than we expected with more to see and do than was advertised . During the showers we sat and had a drink and a snack in the cafe which was very clean . Will certainly be going again. I would recommend that you wear wellies or boots because of the walking involved and muddy paths .
