Oulton Hall is one of Yorkshire’s finest leisure, spa and golf resorts. This unique 18th century former family mansion is the perfect choice for leisurely beauty. Beautiful landscaped gardens and lawns, a grand sweeping driveway providing a picture-perfect entrance plus a state-of-the-art health club and spa are all surrounded by 27 holes of sheer golfing pleasure. From classic Yorkshire afternoon tea served by the butler in the drawing room, to Champagne on the outside terrace, a visit to Oulton Hall will be a unique memory.
The spa at Outon Hall was OK but not the nicest I have been to. The pool area, sauna and steam room were pretty modern, clean and not to busy but there were some negatives which would mean I wouldn’t rush back. The grey robes we were given had seen better days and the changing rooms also look a bit shabby and in need of a refurb. There are only a couple of changing cubicles which are tiny and in the corners between lockers, not easy to get in and out of! After using the spa we fancied a coffee out on the terrace but were told that the Juice Bar next to the spa was shut so the only alternative was to get dressed and go to another part of the hotel. Not ideal! There is pretty limited seating next to the pool, just a few chairs and sofa style chairs but no loungers. The showers in the changing rooms were lovely and overall still quite a nice experience but I think if I had paid more than the groupon deal I would have been disappointed.
Not up to my expectations of Oulton Hall and past visits
Massages mediocre and did not last full timings
Food service was slow regarding ordering and 45 minute wait for food
Some food left uncovered on display
Not enough seats around the pool for those who required them to read and relax
Luxury all the way from bathrobe towels slippers. Pool area relaxing with large comfortable seating. Staff friendly and helpful an enjoyable experiece for my daughters 40th Birthday. We are going to stay over night next time.
Very good experience. Was worth the offer, the additional 20% discount on food and drinks made the visit affordable.
This was the first time we’d used spa facilities and on the whole had a lovely afternoon at Oulton Hall. However there were people using their mobile phones to take selfies and photographs of themselves posing in the jacuzzi and pool area which didn’t seem to bother the staff. Not really appropriate when young children are around and when I challenged them was faced with abuse. And an unpleasant, stale smell in the steam room was a bit off putting. Good value for what we paid through Groupon, however think we’ll try an alternative next time.

Spa day didn’t come with any treatments but paid extra to have pedicure, even with 20% off the pedicure was hugely overpriced and did not include gel. Pool was too busy as was jacuzzi, were not made aware of balcony outside we noticed while we were leaving, which we could have had tea on in the sun. The interior needs serious attention as there are locker doors hanging off everywhere and the longsaddles are worn. Had to ask for money back twice when ordering drinks and food to get the 20% discount back. Poor for the price.
Went for a spa afternoon with my fiancé. The facilities are ok but I’ve been to much better elsewhere. It’s got all you need for a pleasant spa break but it lacks that something special. I don’t think I’d go here again. It is just ok.

Relaxing day. Small pool but nice sauna and steam room. Quite expensive for what we got but still enjoyable.
Over crowded and not what I would call a spa experience- more like a gym with a pool
Can't say it's any different from any other Spa place other than its probably more expensive. Views are awesome though & may even return.
