From Our Editors

Crews up to four members strong can clamber aboard one of the vessels of Finsbury Park Boats. Customers can row out across the placid waters while a variety of waterfowl coast along the surface and potter about the banks. Each party also receives a bag of feed to cast out over the water, tempting hungry ducks and swans to congregate in your wake.

Not very attentive staff. We had to wait for quite a few minutes to be acknowledged, despite place not being busy when we arrived. Bunch of kids at the front spent several minutes trying to convince staff that they could be on the boat without an adult and after a lot of negotiation, at least one boat still did not have an adult on board. Despite having booked as required, there was no duck feed left. You would have thought that, since it's already paid for, they would separate feed for the bookings, but that is not the case. The lake is not big. Half an hour was enough to paddle twice around it, after figuring out how to keep control of the boat. You don't get any sort of brief as to the best way to do it and, despite facing backwards to the front of the boat, we were the only people actually looking where we were going while paddling. A few people crashed onto us and a few other crashes happened around, but nothing major, I think this is actually quite common and there were no injuries. Overall it was fun, but 2 stars for poor customer service and for not having any duck feed left.

Gentleman was really helpful and friendly. Children loved it and it's actually quite easy to do once you get the hang of it.

Really friendly staff, lovely little lake and loads of ducks to feed who come right up to the boat, definitely not shy of humans.

It was a really good time. I went alone with 3 10 year olds. Never rowed before. It was wonderful. Host was friendly, duck feed was only 1.50 for extra bags which was great. Would definitely go again.
