About Shorelands Wildlife Gardens
Water fowl roam freely through Shorelands Wildlife Centre, sharing their serene home with a number of rare avian species. Birds which would otherwise been seldom spotted in the wild can be appreciated in a number of themed aviaries, housing a menagerie of waders, herons, storks, cranes, parrots and hornbills. Shorelands Wildlife Centre also houses an array of monkeys, lemurs, tortoises and warty pigs. Many of the creatures are part of breeding programmes to help conserve their species, and the centre also works with charities designed to help protect the native flora and fauna of the region. The site is also shared by a coffee shop and wildlife art gallery.
