Stanton House Hotel, Stanton Fitzwarren

Based in the village of Stanton Fitzwarren, Stanton House Hotel is perfectly poised for further exploration of nearby Swindon, located a 14-minute drive away. Historical places of interest include the Museum of the Great Western Railway, and the 260 acres of Lydiard Park, featuring the Palladian House and a walled garden. A 20-minute drive brings guests to the outskirts of The Cotswolds, where quintessentially English villages such as Bibury await further exploration. Visitors may opt to take a tour of Cotswold Water Park, which is home to wildlife including otters, water voles and various types of birds. The night will be spent in a classic double or twin room, featuring an en suite, hot drink making facilities, a fridge and a TV. Guests can dine on modern British or Japanese food in one of the two on-site restaurants. The open-plan Rosemary restaurant boasts views out across Stanton lake and park, while the Yakiniku @ Mt Fuji restaurant encourages a more interactive atmosphere while seasoned ingredients are grilled over a flame. During their stay, visitors may opt to peruse the surrounding gardens, designed by Gertrude Jekyll in the 18th century.
