The afternoon tea itself was ok, but communication is sadly lacking. The vegetarian option I had requested had not been noted, and they were apparently also unaware we had booked the sparkling option. The bird of prey center was very good. Good talks, friendly staff.

Fantastic value for money. Carvery lunch was superb and my gluten free partner catered for with no problem. Staff were second to none. We followed lunch with an afternoon at the adjoining bird of prey centre which was equally superb. Would highly recommend!

We purchased a groupon voucher and we were not disappointed. The hotel is a lovely classic building at the front and a more recent structure to the rear. The staff were very nice and friendly and could not have done more to serve us the afternoon tea. We even had a second round of coffee!. The food items were top class. We would recommend this hotel.

The best advice I can give is not to go. The afternoon tea deal via Groupon is an absolute rip off and isn't worth £1.00! Also, the premises smell like a nursing home and were dirty. It has to be the worst afternoon tea we've ever had. The free entry in to the Birds of Prey Centre that came with the deal was the best thing. It's just a shame that probably 99% of the revenue will go towards The Burn Hall Hotel instead of the Birds of Prey Centre.

Lovely afternoon spent at birds of prey centre and having afternoon tea. We sat outside as it was warm and so many wasps (not that it's in their control) which just spoilt it slightly
