Originating as a Norman keep, Kelburn Castle and Country Centre now stands adorned with bold, distinctive designs courtesy of Brazilian graffiti artists. Taking in the castle and grounds at their leisure, visitors can marvel at a distinctively colourful exterior, or stop by the adventure course, stockade or Chinese gardens (usually £12 in winter and £28 in spring). Nature fans may also encounter an variety of resident wildlife. Children’s activities include a maze, playbarn, and the complex walkways of the secret forest. The site’s grounds also play host to wildlife including deer, otters and peregrine falcons, and resident rangers who provide information and tours.
