Long sleeved tops and trousers, and training shoes with flat cushion sole without hooks or points, are required. Voucher is valid at Skydive Academy, Shotton Airfield, Shotton Colliery, Durham, DH6 2NH. Skydiving is a high-risk activity which may cause or result in serious injury or death. Please consult a doctor before completing any strenuous activity. All skydiving is undertaken at the participant's own risk and each participant is required to sign and agree to a release of liability agreement and make a full written medical declaration. Failure to agree to this will forfeit full value of the voucher. Subject to proportionate height and weight with a strict weight limit of max. 98kg. All participants must satisfy the medical requirements BPA Form 115a. Dr endorsement for over 40s not required - all can now self-declare for tandems only. If unable to self-declare due to a listed condition a dr may declare them fit to participate by signing BPA form 115b. Prior to parachuting and skydiving, participants need to provide certain information to the Parachute Training Organisation (PTO) which will routinely be passed to their National Governing Body (NGB) the British Parachute Association (BPA) - that being name, address, email address, contact telephone number - preferably a mobile, their date of birth, weight and height and contact details for a nominated emergency contact, all of which in turn may in the event of injury or incident be passed to the emergency services and appropriate governing/investigating bodies. In participating it also needs to be accepted by participants, or in the case of 16- and 17-year olds or vulnerable adults their parents or guardians, that filming and photography may be taken for both training and marketing purposes, with images posted on training, commercial and social media. Skydiving is weather dependent. Voucher extension fee: £35 per 4-month extension. Customers should allow 3-5 hours to complete the activity given suitable weather. Merchant will do it’s best to interpret weather forecasts in advance of the customer's arrival and will re-schedule if it determines in its best opinion that skydiving will not proceed on safety grounds. For Popular Tandem, the altitude will be 7,500 - 10,000ft; weather conditions may dictate lower altitudes, however, in the majority of cases the 10,000ft limit is likely to be reached for the Max Altitude tandem skydive, while 15,000ft will be the upper limit, weather conditions may dictate the altitude range of 9,000ft -15,000ft. In the majority of cases, 15,000ft should be attained. Skydiving is subject to strict weather-related conditions. The voucher holder accepts weather might mean several attempts to complete skydive. Weather-related conditions include, but are not limited to, suitable visibility, cloud cover, wind speed and gusts, temperatures, moisture, rain, humidity, runway condition, and regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, visual flight rules. The chief instructor, jointly with the chief pilot, determines suitable weather conditions. The merchant does not guarantee customers will skydive on the same flight as their friends or family. All skydiving conducted in accordance with the provider’s approved operations. Voucher holder must complete skydive before the voucher expires. Certain medical conditions are prohibitive. Customers must contact merchant in advance if they have a medical condition. Refunds are not issued for medical conditions. Transfer of voucher is permitted in this case. Must be booked to take place by Tue 30 Apr 2019. Valid only on option purchased. Arrival times: Wed-Fri 10am, midday and 2pm. Bank holiday Mondays: 9am, 10am, midday and 2pm. There will be no jumping on Wed following a bank holiday Mon. Limited jump slots available prior to Christmas 2018 but subject to availability. Weekend jumps: 9am, 10am, midday and 2pm.

The Peterlee Drop Zone has been operating since 1987 and offers solo parachute courses alongside tandem skydives from a choice of altitudes. Accelerated Freefall (AFF) courses are made up of eight one-to-one skydiving jumps and are designed for those who want a more comprehensive experience. Their Shotton Colliery site also features a canteen and licensed bar. Complimentary overnight camping and caravan spots are available by advance arrangement.
