Launching from Lake Pier, kayaking taster sessions with Harbour Challenge OEC lead beginners into Poole Harbour.
The half-day experience begins with a safety and equipment demo, followed by a practical tutorial on basic paddling skills. The object is to pass on confident and safe kayaking skills, with a focus on having fun in the process.
Groupon finds out about the water and land activities at Harbour Challenge OEC, and who can benefit from the instruction.

Myself and my husband had wanted to try kayaking. This was a good taster session. Very grateful for wetsuit that was provided, we enjoyed it.

Really enjoyed this 90 minute archery taster session. We went on a freezing cold day - but it was still lots if fun. The session had 5 others join us, which made a group of 7, all complete newbies and the other attendees were a good laugh and added to the days fun. Our instructor, Paul (?), was a good guy- helpful and informative.
There are toilets at the Harbour Challenge venue, but not much else. However there is a small cafe serving food and drinks a few yards away and the carpark is free.
We really enjoyed ourselves and as we are local we definitely hope to return in the summer for another archery session... or even one of their other sports.
