About Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum
Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum brings together the worlds of science, technology, astronomy, zoology, biology and more, demonstrated through 200 hands-on displays. Visitors can discover facts about the ancient past and learn about new inventions for the future. Guests to the Planetarium can marvel at the night's sky as they find out about what lies beyond our planet. Back on Earth, the science and industry collection represents 250 years of technological development using over 40,000 items. Tools and production machines provide an insight into the industrial heritage of Birmingham, alongside displays about engineering, musical instruments and computing. Visitors can also explore the natural world in the wildlife gallery which contains around 250,000 specimens that cover everything from botany to geology. They'll also be able to learn more about the science behind everyday life, human biology and modern medicine.
