How do I use my YHA discount code?

Click on the offer you fancy and copy the code so you can paste it in later. Follow our link to the YHA website and find where you want to go. Enter the location and dates then hit ‘Book Now’. Paste your YHA discount code in the box beneath your order and click ‘Apply’. Go to the checkout as usual to complete your purchase. If you’re paying the hostel in person, then print out your code or store it on your mobile and present it when you pay. Any offers that don’t require a discount or promo code will be applied automatically.

Do I need YHA membership to make a booking?

You don’t have to be a member to stay at a YHA Youth Hostel but if you do become a member then the benefits are definitely worth it. You’ll pay less every time you stay with YHA and you’ll get access to some brilliant member benefits. YHA membership includes automatic membership with Hostelling International which could save you a tidy sum if you’re planning on travelling abroad.

What are the check in and check out times at a YHA Youth Hostel?

Every hostel is different. Go to the individual hostel page to check or contact them directly and speak to a member of staff

Can I buy food and drink at a YHA Youth Hostel?

Most Youth Hostels offer a delicious array of meals, including a buffet-style breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal. Some hostels even have a licensed bar. Several hostels now have a daytime café serving light bites and refreshments throughout the day, You can still prepare your own meals in the hostel if you want to. Meals can be booked online as part of your hostel booking.

Is Wi-Fi available in YHA Youth Hostels?

Wi-Fi is available at a number of our hostels. It is free for guests to use in communal areas or throughout the hostel at selected locations. Check out the facilities section of the hostel page for more information.

Can I book a YHA Youth Hostel for more than 16 people?

The YHA offer a range of locations and packages to suit most group sizes. If there are less than 16 people in your party then you can book online. If there are 16 or more people in your group, you will not be able to book online.
