From Our Editors
Transporting visitors back in time to the golden age of the locomotive, Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a working steam museum that houses a royal carriage and vintage vehicles, and runs steam train rides across its sprawling 25-acre site. : Families and rail-enthusiasts alike can visit the original 1890s station building and can take unlimited trips along our 1/3 mile length of track on a full size steam train. Further attractions include a coach used by Churchill and Eisenhower for war strategy meetings, and a visitor centre, while mementos can be purchased at a gift shop, and and a glass-roofed visitor centre with cafe, shop and beautifully restored vintage locomotives on display. There is also a possibility to go for a ride on our miniature steam railway which takes you on a 1km journey through a wooden glen, over a crossing and through a tunnel.
