Situated in Liverpool's city centre, opposite the Albert Dock and Three Graces, the four-star 30 James Street Hotel provides a Titanic-themed experience for its guests. The 19th-century building boasts several rooms designed to replicate those found on the famous liner, plus modern amenities such as whirlpool Jacuzzis. Hungry visitors can enjoy a bite to eat at the Carpathia bar and restaurant, where they can savour the a la carte, afternoon tea, and cocktail menus, as well as take in rooftop views of the Albert Dock and original artefacts from the RMS Carpathia. Clients can also relax at Morgan's spa, with facilities including a 40-foot hydrotherapy pool and dry sauna. The venue is also bookable for weddings in the 210-seater White Star Grand Hall, formerly a ticketing area and first-class lounge area for the White Star Line.
Great Service and Great Massage!
It was a very relaxing afternoon, facial was lovely, but shoulder rub, was more like a tickle rather than a message, let the whole afternoon down. My daughter had a brilliant back massage , but yet again her foot massage very disappointing. Probably wouldn't go back again
I cannot get over how relaxed I felt after the treatments, full back massage and body scrub, I was so relaxed I had to have a afternoon nap; when I came home... It's a hard life, haha.
Make sure you arrive early for your appointment; as the time comes out of your treatment time, Which is understandable.
The whole ambiance and atmosphere of the spa is calming and relaxing. I would recommend it, the only downfall is that there is two sets of stairs you have to take to access the spa. Which is not ideal for disabled people or if you find climbing the stairs difficult.
The treatments were really good but that was it
Not private at all. You cant swim in the pool. Everything is tiny. Changing rooms. Height restrictions etc. Treatments by Danielle were amazing and I couldn't fault them or her. But apart from that start to finish getting ignore and very rude reception staff stood there for about 7mins why she was on the phone no communication at all and she was clearly on hold not even having a convo. The whole thing was overrated, not what I was expecting or would expect from there at all. Such a let down and over priced for what you got compared to other spas. Book elsewhere!!
The spa was awful. Only 1 steam room, only a few seats and pool was cold and very small. Treatments were good
The treatments were fabulous and all the staff were absolutely lovely.
only downside was we were looking forward to relaxing in the pool afterwards and it was too cold to go in!
The staff were so friendly and helpful,
The lady on reception at Morgan Spa was so lovely. She went out of her way to be hospitable. The treatments were also excellent. My sister and I were in an twin treatment room. Unfortunately the spa facilities were not great though. The pool was luke warm and the water jets didn't work. The temperature around this area was quite cold too so when you got out of the pool (after literally 5 mins) we were rather shivery. The facilities definitely need a refurb. Loved the individual chests that you stored your belongings in though. All in All, it was ok. Would definitely not have been impressed paying full price and even at £80 It seemed a bit steep. But lovely staff did make up for it a little.
