I bought voucher as a gift for my friend. She booked class for herself but closer to the date felt ill. Over the phone she was told that it will be possible to change the date. When she e-mailed, the company refused to re-book her! Disappointing!

My daughters & I really enjoyed the day & Francis was an excellent teacher. The only downside was the lack of nearby long-stay parking. I felt this particular workshop was aimed at those who had already some very basic experience with sewing but werent regular users of a machine.

For me, it's neither good or bad for what I wanted to achieve. First lemme say, if you're not a fast learner you cannot gain much from this workshop. On the other side, if you're a fast learner and the others are slow, you may find the session a bit frustrating but good thing is Francis is very aware of both so he tries to balance it. Another thing you must take note of is that the workshop has limited time so you're not given complete details or shown in detail how to measure and cut a fabric before you sew. The instructor, Francis who is a great guy by the way, takes you through a summary explanation of it at the beginning using already measured and cut outlines. Even the fabrics we sewed were already cut for us before we arrived, all we did was learn how to join them. I asked for measuring and cutting instructions before I left but was told that wasn't part of the workshop and to go check out some place online or whatever. Overall, I'd say, the workshop will work for you if you're already sewing savvy and know how the measurements and cutting work. For me, I believe measuring and cutting are the most important aspects of sewing and I really wanted to learn that but didn't get it. I'm glad though that I sewed my first dress and it fits. If you're new to sewing, try and take some introduction to sewing classes or workshop before registering for this dress making working. If you don't do that, you will spend the time at the workshop behind everyone else and there is no time for that.

Frances was very helpful and willing to answer any questions. It's great for beginners as it teaches you the basics of sewing. Would reccommend bringing your own machine, i regret not taking mine
