Jade Spa aims to conjure the atmosphere of ancient China, with an interior that encapsulates the culture, tradition and mystique of the oriental east. Based in Manchester City Centre, they offer a wide range of treatments from massage and facials to hair treatments. Their thermal spa is designed for total relaxation, and their treatments combine a mixture of eastern and western techniques. There is also a tea lounge, where traditional Chinese tea can be sampled, and a choice of Chinese or English afternoon tea can be served.

Jade Spa is a fantastic experience. The staff are well trained and friendly. The envionment is clean, but cozy. Had a fabulous serious of massages, very relaxing, followed by afternoon tea. Would recommend to anyone and hope to go again. Makes an excellent gift.

Treatments were nice. Wouldn't bother with the hot tub, no straightners, the shower was in the hot tub room and hair is a mess after head massage. Bring your own conditioner.

Advertised as "spa day" but was only an hour's worth. Afternoon tea was poor and very basic. I know this was an offer but if bought at full price it's nowhere near worth it, nor is it at discount price. Also very noisy as trains go over. Still being renovated as part of a previous bathroom store.

First impressions not great, We had to walk through a Led lighting shop to get to the reception, felt a little seedy was not sure what I had brought my mother too? Had to pay £5.00 surcharge which I believed was for robe and slippers which we did not get? We were taken into our treatment room which was cold? On a plus the treatments were lovely, would have been fantastic if I hadn't been so cold. The changing facilities are mixed, no showers to wash the oil from your hair so if your making a day and venturing into Manchester it's not the most attractive look. The tea and cakes after your treatment a nice gesture though.

Charged £10 each (£20 as 2 of us) for the 'Thermal spa' it was a hot tub so the day ended up costing £100 and it wasn't worth more than £50. Trains going over during treatments no showers to use after so had to go home as I was left covered in oil. Not good and won't be going back

When we arrived at the spa there was no one on reception (however we had arrived early so wasn't too bothered about that). There was a sign stating if there was no one on reception to take a seat in the waiting room which we did. We were sat waiting 20 minutes without being seen, spoken to or offered water whilst we were waiting. When we did see someone, we were not spoken to, we were just given forms to fill in. A little while later, someone came out to see us to tell us the beauticians needed their dinner before they could start the treatment. When we were finally brought in to the treatment room we had been waiting 1hr. We were told to arrive 15 min prior to our appointment time and we arrived 15min before that. So really it was 45 minutes. There was no apology from anyone at the spa. The beauticians started the treatments without giving us a run through of what they were going to be doing. I had a few medical problems which I declared on the form and they never asked about these. The treatments were quite basic and finished 15minutes prior to it should have been. Afternoon tea was very basic-to be fair I expected this. I had read reviews after I booked. I rob ably wouldn't recommend again. (I purchased the 5 treatments plus afternoon tea offer for my sister and I)
